Evaluation is a powerful tool for equity. Thoughtful evaluation can provide the data required to begin, change, continue, expand, or replicate an initiative. Our approach to evaluation recognizes the historical and systemic drivers of inequities while promoting transparency, multi-culturally valid instruments and methods, shared ownership of the process, and findings with clients, partners, and communities.

HRiA’s evaluation approach supports ongoing adaptation and improvement in response to dynamic, shifting environments. Equal partnerships and shared decision-making are central components of our approach. We co-develop evaluations that are action-oriented and remain useful after the project period ends. Our team balances these principles with time, budget, human resources, and other client and partner constraints.
Partners and clients come for process, clinical equity, and grant evaluations that address a variety of contexts. Others may seek policy and systems change as an outcome. We work with clients to determine the appropriate methods and level of rigor for their needs. This may include randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental designs, pre-/post-designs, social network analyses, process evaluations, and other methods.
